With the ever increasing size of projects, data supply and system maintenance gain more and more importance. Apart from the purely monetary aspect, the data supply must also be evaluated in terms of how simple it can be adjusted to environment changes.
Despite the complexity of the task involved, WinGuard - thanks to its object-oriented data structures - remains extremely easy to install and maintain. By means of automatic data supply it is possible to take over datapoint information directly from manufacturers‘ configuration files or via communication link. Moreover, the flexible CSV import feature permits to take information from existing databases and office files. Data can also be transmitted to management systems via standard interfaces, such as SAP, G-Info, Speedikon, etc. This ensures a communication link between the technical building management and the business section.
The concept of dynamic information linkage runs through the complete data organization. Duplicities are avoided consequently. Text documents (action texts, scripts, etc.) for example can be combined skillfully from conditions, text modules, variable text fields and other dynamic elements so that the textual supply of a whole project can often be done by just preparing one single document.
The integrated graphics editor is a powerful tool which easily allows to create various documents in high quality, e.g. overview plans, detail plans, documents for the fire department and even dialogs and interactive control panels.
Apart from various bitmap files such as JPG, PNG, BMP, also different vector formats can be directly embedded into WinGuard graphics through dynamic linkage, among these AutoCAD DWG, DXF and Microstation DGN files. With the last mentioned formats, integration can even go so far that active elements in the graphics are detected and automatically linked with the corresponding WinGuard datapoints. This function allows delegating the complete creation and maintenance of the WinGuard system graphics to the facility management department.
